These hands of mine..

That's the opening line to my first feature in Trailblazher magazine, answering their prompt of "These hands of mine.."
The magazine showcases the lifestyles, stories, and business wisdom of resilient, gutsy, rural women across North America, and I'm over-the-moon thrilled to have been asked to be a part of it.

These hands of mine find solace in the slow and the self-sufficient. Craving the grip of a paddle over a textbook, they went from slinging bowls of pasta in the city to clutching the steering wheel driving west toward a small, coastal town on the edge of the world. These hands of mine chanced upon clay as a winter hobby and never let go. They built our homestead, including my studio where they now forge pots. They covet the cold ocean water, the moist garden soil, the warmth of a campfire, and the interlacing of fingers with another.
