I come from a family of makers, bakers, growers, entrepreneurs, and mould breakers.
My own journey has been similarly-rooted - going from lugging textbooks and slinging bowls of pasta in the city to clutching the steering wheel, driving west toward a small, coastal town on the edge of the world.
I eagerly surrendered myself to the slower and more deliberate pace of the remote island lifestyle.
I learned to live (and eat) by the seasons, to trust in the path less followed, and that anything can be learned with a combination youtube and library books (it’s how we built our own house).
My fingers chanced upon clay as a winter hobby almost a decade ago and never let go.
I grew my skills and for the last handful of years I’ve been nurturing a meaningful, creative business within a slow and fulfilling life.
I covet the cold ocean water, the moist garden soil, the warmth of a campfire, and the interlacing of fingers with those I love.
I live with my partner, toddler Josephine (Jo), fluffy dog, also fluffy (/orange) cat, and four ducks on a little homestead that we built beside the sea on the remote archipelago of Haida Gwaii, the territory of the Haida people.
